What is the difference between RC EDM and pulse EDM spark generation?

RC EDM and pulse EDM differ in how they generate the discharge:

RC EDM (resistor-capacitor): A capacitor bank discharges across the spark gap to remove material.

Pulse EDM: A timing circuit and solid-state switches, such as power MOSFETs, control when current turns ON and OFF.
