How do I equip an EDM machine with a MaxxMacro workholding system?
Updated
Start by selecting a chuck and mounting arrangement that match the machine spindle, table, and required C-axis functionality.
Spindle or machine-adapted options include the MaxxMacro (OEM 100% cross-compatible) 70 SP7359 Pneumatic Chuck, the MaxxMacro 70 Spindle Chuck 90957 80mm, and the MaxxMacro 70 Pneumatic Chuck 600.86-3 Machine-Adapted WEDM. For a table-mounted setup, manual or pneumatic chucks with an adjustable base are available.
If you prefer not to use the machine’s C-Axis, or it is not required, you can remove or disable it and mount a manual or pneumatic MaxxMacro chuck in its place. This eliminates C-Axis capabilities, but it’s a common and practical solution in many setups
Send MaxxTooling the machine model and mounting details to confirm the configuration. If a proposed installation would remove or disable the C-axis, confirm the resulting loss of that function before selecting the setup.
For Wire EDM WEDM, check that the selected version is suitable for the intended dielectric exposure.
