How do I center a tool, holder, or custom fixture on a MaxxTooling Performance Pallet?

To center a tool, holder, or custom fixture on a Performance Pallet, the most accurate method is to use dowel pins on the bottom of your holder. Our MaxxMacro Performance Pallets come with finished holes for 6mm or 0.250" dowels, which help center and align your holder precisely on the pallet.

If dowels aren't an option—due to the size or design of your holder—you can align it manually:

1. Start by locating the center of the chuck.
2. Place your holder on the pallet and snug the mounting screws, but don’t fully tighten them yet.
3. Mount the pallet onto the chuck.
4. Indicate a suitable reference on the holder and tap the holder into position until it is centered.
5. Once aligned, carefully remove the assembly and fully tighten the screws.
