Why is there a gap between the MaxxMacro MM-DRWBR201 drawbar O-ring and the MaxxMacro 70 MM-PCR1S003 chuck bore?

For the MaxxMacro (System 3R OEM 100% cross-compatible) MM-DRWBR201 drawbar used with the MaxxMacro 70 MM-PCR1S003 chuck, the outer O-ring is not intended to form a pressure-tight seal against the chuck bore. It helps remove debris as the drawbar retracts, so a visible gap does not necessarily indicate a defect.

Through-flushing passes through the drawbar and uses the O-ring between the drawbar and the holder as its seal.
