Removing and refitting a Maxx-ER (Erowa OEM 100% cross-compatible) centering plate and its feet can change the alignment. The plate may need to be ground again after reassembly.
For a fixture mounted from below, MaxxTooling can supply a pallet with a spare G plate and unground feet, to be finish-ground after assembly.
For the Maxx-ER 115 mm plate, we recommend using the existing center holes and counterbores, which are accessible from below. This avoids removing the bottom plate.
Custom Maxx-ER pallets can also be produced, with a mounting-hole design that allows assembly without removing the G plate.

Separate Maxx-ER centering plates and support feet are supplied with extra material on the feet to better the final assembly's tolerance. After installation in your fixture, the feet must be ground to 11.20 mm (+0.01/−0.05 mm) with a flatness of 0.001 mm.
Complete fixtures supplied by MaxxTooling are already ground. They do not require the same finish-grinding operation as separately purchased plates and feet.
Apply the specified screw torque without stressing the plate or threads. Avoid excessive downward Z force; the feet must be correctly ground to maintain the specified distance between the workpiece base and the feet.

We only offer the plates as a complete set with feet included, and we do not provide a discount for purchasing them without the feet.
The feet are essential for proper installation of the Maxx-ER Centering Plates, especially to avoid the lengthy and difficult process of trying to torque them flat using worn or used feet.
